Reviews
The ladies here helped me figure out exactly what I needed for each of my projects and steered me in the right direction product-wise. They were very friendly with me while simultaneously dealing with a very rude and bossy customer as best as they could. It made my shopping a very smooth and pleasant experience. They offered plenty of advice and answered my questions. Overall, I recommend this place and will come back when I need !
I was looking for upholstery material to make slipcovers for a chaise and a chair, as well as material for a dog bed cover. Good selection, great prices. Got everything I needed for under $60!
Very nice staff there is one European lady I found her excellent behavior to words the customer and help as per the customer requirements I am very thankful to her
This store has lots of varieties. I was looking to buy Sultana burlap fabrics. Found it on few online stores but when tried to buy it, it was out of stock. I was feeling lucky that I found it right here and not only that they were having a sale on it. How cool is that. Besides, the staffs were friendly, enthusiastic and pro active. It took few seconds for me to find this fabrics with the help of those nice and lovely staffs which are the key to success for any store front business.
The stuff they provide in reviews to "upper management" is always ignored, and the upper management is honestly the reason the environment is so hostile and the place is so inaccessibile. They should get hr in and do a whole revamp of the place.
I went in about a week or two ago looking for curtains for my mother and ended up finding almost exactly what I wanted at a really good deal!
So, context, I went in on two days back-to-back so I could take some pictures, show my mother what was available in the clearance section, and dig around looking for two matching panels in the "beige" family (or thereabouts) with grommets... Talk about looking for a very specific needle in a very specific haystack!
Going in on a mobility scooter was a *tiny* bit tricky, but not impossible! Some aisles were a little tight, others more spacious, but I managed to get in and out of the store, to the very back where the goodies I wanted were, and then to the cash register with no major problems. (I was asked a couple times if I needed some help, a rotating display was rotated out of my way without me needing to ask, and I was advised on which aisles would be better for me, too!)
The first day, I found what I *thought* were good matches colour wise, and wonderful employee offered to hold them in the back for a day for me! The employee who helped me was CASSSIE! It was Cassie...
She was such a treat and helped me both days, so I'm so, SO ashamed that I couldn't remember her name properly and had to call in to double check.
ANYWAYS, I came back the next day to pick out which of the three would be best, and was given a tight budget that none of the panels fit... So I went digging AGAIN! Lots of really, REALLY nice singles, but I needed a pair at the very least, and while I ended up finding one just outside of the beige family, at $15 a panel...? What a steal! I think they look gorgeous, and at the price I paid, not even Amazon could beat it.
Did I mention how much help I was given trying to dig around the shelves and find a good match!? Because Cassie went WAY above and beyond to help me out! Sitting on the scooter, I had a decent amount of reach, but she was an extra pair of eyes and arms that must have spent at least 20 minutes helping me and making sure I left the store with something both my mother and I would be happy with.
"Do you see a line behind you?" she jokingly asked me when I told her how bad I felt about taking up so much of her time. I sheepishly replied that she could have been sitting at least instead of standing around helping indecisive *me* looking for that oh-so-particular needle in the massive haystack.
Would you believe that Fabricland employees aren't ALLOWED to sit down on the clock!? That's INSANE to me! Especially when they're so kind and helpful! If the store's empty, or it's a quiet time and everyone's being helped, let them pull up a stool!
I'm a little shocked to see all the negative reviews focused on bad customer service since mine was so good, but maybe I just got really lucky. Certainly *felt* like I won the lottery!
I didn't go in for fabric or sewing supplies, so take this review with a pinch of salt, but I owe it to Cassie's great customer service to let the world know! I'll definitely be back if I need to replace *my* curtains or feel like taking up a little sewing project, that's for sure.
Edited 21/07/2023 to fix the name mixup.
I needed to replace a button and needed help so I went to fabricland. Their staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. There is also lots of different type of fabric and material to make drapes, clothes and a whole bunch more. I returned because I wanted to make a Halloween 🎃 costume and again staff were very informative as to what fabric I needed, how to make it from start to finish and I was able to do a good job too.
If you like my reviews, videos or photos why not sew up the hem and give them a thumbs up.
I was in shopping today for fabric for my project, and spoke with several staff. All were exceptional and knowledgeable about what I was needing through my questions and pictures.Fabric was perfect and perfectly priced(sale). Judy was the awesome cutter and I had Denise for crafting and I spoke with Sandra (manager) . I will definitely recommend and go again and again. Thank again ladies!
